Do you own a Big Trailie?

We are hosting a day ride next weekend – Saturday the 31st of July.
Our plan was to run a ride out Magalies way – but man it is so dusty that we’ll save that for summer when we’ve had a bit of rain.

For this one we have found some interesting new routes out on the East Rand It’s still dusty, but we’ll be able to split you all up. Not super technical – but a fun, family ride. We’ll do sections of our traditional valentines ride- which will include all of the rivers and muddy sections – and then we have some brand new sections on a few other farms. Fast sweeping sections with a few rocky hills and river crossings. It should be fun.

 Coffee and muffins in the morning and a lekker brunch en route – fresh fruit and yogurt, pap en sous, scrambles, sausages and bacon. From there we head back to the start where you can load and head for home.

Our Pongola ride on the long weekend (6th to 9th) is filling up quite quickly. This as a fantastic adventure – really nice accommodation awesome meals, and two days of the best riding on the planet. If you want to come along, please get your forms through asap.

Then we are off to Botswana on the 27th of August. Only 3 hours from Pretoria on the banks of the Limpopo river. You can camp – or you can stay in the tented camp or chalets. Numbers are very limited, so if you want to come along, please give us a shout and we’ll send you all of the details.
Then it’s time for JHB to Durbs and back in the dirt, 23rd September. Quads 4 quads is enormous fun and it is for such a lekker cause – raising funds for the Quadpara association of SA. 4 days of riding, just you, your bike and lots of interesting trails to explore.

In October we are off to Lost valley. We have not done this ride for a long time, so we thought it was time to visit the area again. We have found lots of new routes, so it should be pretty awesome.

November see’s a brand new ride in the Freestate. We stay on a Game farm near Clocolan – unreal – a beautiful lodge, complete with a health hydro for the ladies. There are giraffes and all sorts of bokkies wandering around, we’ve already worked the routes with the local farmers – so it will be a fantastic weekend away.

Then in December, it’s time for our traditional Sunfields ride for the disabled in Balfour. Bring lots of Christmas pressies, we’ll mark the trails and give you a great ride.

Arrive: Afternoon ofd Friday the 6th of August.

On Saturday after breakfast – we head out for the riverbed run – 100 kays of fantastic riverbeds for you to enjoy. For those of you who have done this trip before – this is a new section and the first time that we are riding here. Magic.

On Sunday we will be doing a route all around the hotel – rocks, rivers, sweeping farmlands – absolutely brilliant. Technical sections for the manne with escape routes for the family riders. For those who do not want to ride, visit the amazing Tiger Lodge and take an afternoon trip on the houseboat on Jozini dam…

You might have heard about this fantastic fund raising initiative – a social offroad ride all the way from JHB to Durban and back again – all in the name of having fun – and raising funds for people who are less fortunate than many of us.
The event was screened on Two Wheels earlier this year – as well as on Carte Blanche a few evenings ago.

The initiative was started in 2002 by the team from Family Adventures – and over the years quite a few million Rands have been raised for QASA. The idea was to ride your dirt bike, ATV, side by side or Adventure bike – all ...
